About Airlines Pet

Airlinespet.com is an airline pet policy-based blog that brings together pet-related information such as pet policies, pet travel guidelines, cost, pet shipping, temperature restrictions, container info, etc.

From my own travel experience with pets, airlinespet.com has been designed according to every pet owner’s needs. I have divided pet travel information into separate sections to make it easy for you to get your desired info.

For your convenience, I’ve divided the posts into four main sections. Those are –

1.  Pets In Cabin

Most airlines allow small domestic cats and dogs inside their cabins. Some of them also allow other small pets such as rabbits, rodents, birds, etc. Pets must be inside a container when traveling inside the cabin and the container should stay under your seat.

2.  Pets In Cargo

Larger pets are generally shipped via the cargo compartments when they exceed a specified weight limit. Some airlines also have specialized cargo facilities for pets.

3.  Service Dogs Policy

The majority of the USA-based airlines allow service dogs inside their cabins for free. A container isn’t mandatory for service dogs. However, the dog should be properly trained through a renowned service dog training organization.

4.  Emotional Support Pet Policy

After some regulatory changes brought by the Department of Transportation in 2021, US airlines now do not accept emotional support pets inside their cabins. But you can take a psychiatric service dog with you if it’s trained appropriately and prescribed by a doctor.

Airlinespet.com continuously keeps track of and updates the pet policies of the airlines. So, you can be assured that you’re reading the most updated rules and requirements of airlines for pets.

Airlinespet.com has maintained a disciplined structure for our posts, keeping our readers’ convenience in mind. We go through every step of the pet policy thoroughly. You will get answers to questions like –

  • What are the requirements for pets in the cabin?
  • What are the requirements for pets as checked baggage?
  • Do they provide any cargo facility?
  • How much do they charge?
  • What are the container requirements?
  • What documents do they require?
  • Are there any destination restrictions?
  • Which breeds are/are not accepted?
  • Are there any temperature restrictions or not?
  • Do they accept service and emotional support pets?
  • Important tips.
  • The contact details of the airlines.

I wanted to deliver the pet policies in a way so that the reader doesn’t have to go anywhere else to get the information, and I think we nailed it.

If you have any suggestions or see something that needs to be updated, just let me know through the ‘Contact’ page, and I’ll be very happy to help you.
