GOL Airlines allows cats and dogs that weigh under 10 kg inside their cabins. Cats and dogs weighing between 10 and 30 kg can be transported as checked baggage. Pets that weigh over 30 kg can be transported as cargo. They charge 70 to 170 USD for pets in the cabin and 650 to 800 R$ for pets as checked baggage. Service dogs travel for free on domestic and international flights. Emotional support pets are allowed on flights to and from Cancun only.

Pets must be at least 16 weeks of age to travel with GOL.

Pets In The Cabin

If your pet weighs under 10 kg, including its container, you can take them with you inside the cabins.

For flying with pets inside the cabin, the kennel measurement should be appropriate and pet friendly. You need to cross-check all of the papers before 24 hours of your flight.

Pets As Checked Baggage

Pets that weigh between 10 and 30 kg can be transported as checked baggage in the temperature-controlled compartment.

Cargo

Pets that weigh over 30 kg can be transported as cargo.

Container Requirements

• The container should be well-ventilated.
• The ground of the container should be leak-proof.
• The pet must comfortably fit inside the container.
• Wood or straw containers are not allowed.
• Labeling the container with your name, flight code, number, and address.
• The container and the pet should be clean and odorless.
• Kids and people in wheelchairs cannot take regular pets with them.
• The pet should stay inside the container throughout every stage of the flight.
• One person can take only one pet with them.

Booking

GOL Airlines provides you with the opportunity to book for your pet while you’re making your reservations. You can tell them about the pet up to 4 hours before the flight.

Check-In

You have to check in with at least two hours for domestic flights and three hours for international flights.
